Courtyard by Marriott Coming to Downtown Amarillo |
A Dallas based hotel development company, has announced their plans to convert the historic Fisk Building into Amarillo’s first downtown’s business class hotel in more than 30 years. Located at the corner of 8th and Polk, the 100+ room hotel should become the heart of downtown activity and significantly boost redevelopment effort in downtown Amarillo
A business class hotel should be the first major domino to fall in the redevelopment of downtown. A hotel will keep people downtown after 5pm, which will help support downtown restaurants and retail. This developer also has plans for a 2nd downtown hotel.
